Dhiker Counter ("the App") is a digital tasbih (dhikr counter) designed to help you keep track of your daily remembrance. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information the App handles and how it is used.

- The App works offline and does not require an account.
- We do not collect, sell, or share your personal information.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs.
- Your counter progress and preferences are stored only on your device.
INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
To provide core functionality, the App saves the following data locally on your phone using on-device storage:
- Current dhikr count and target (33 or 99)
- Selected dhikr preset or custom dhikr text you enter
- Theme, background, texture, and appearance preferences
- Haptic feedback on/off setting
- Onboarding completion status
This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers because we do not operate backend servers for this App.
INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT
We do not collect:
- Name, email address, phone number, or other contact details
- Location data
- Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data
- Device identifiers for advertising or profiling
- Usage analytics or crash reports sent to third parties
PERMISSIONS
The App may request the following Android permissions:
Vibrate — Optional haptic feedback when you tap the counter.
Internet — Used by the underlying React Native framework; the App does not send your dhikr data over the internet.
The App does not require location, contacts, external storage, or microphone permissions for its core features.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Dhiker Counter does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising networks, or social login providers. Fonts and visual assets used in the App are bundled within the application package and are not loaded from external servers during normal use.
DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
Your data remains on your device until you:
- Reset the counter within the App
- Clear the App's storage in your device settings
- Uninstall the App
Uninstalling the App removes locally stored data from your device.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
DATA SECURITY
Because your data is stored locally on your device, its security also depends on your device's operating system and any screen lock or encryption you use. We recommend keeping your device software up to date.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
